Multiple awards for the New Horizons from the Polish Film Institute including for distribution campaign of "Pina"

The Polish Film Institute (PISF) announced its annual PISF Awards given for the fifth time for achievements in promotion of Polish cinema.

Projects associated with New Horizons won three awards: for the Best Distribution Campaign Of A Foreign Film In Poland for Wim Wenders' Pina (over 50.000 admissions); for the Best Education Scheme For Young Film Viewers for New Horizons of Film Education (currently 42.000 students participating) and for the Best Film Book for Z Armatą na Wilka. Animowany blues Mariusza Wilczyńskiego by Jerzy Armata - a book published on the occasion of Mariusz Wilczyński's retrospective at the 11. New Horizons IFF. New Horizons Association was nominated in 6 categories this year.

The PISF Awards are given since 2008 in fourteen categories to companies that are not related to film production but are very active in the industry. Candidates are nominated by cultural institutions, film schools and NGO's.

In the past, the New Horizons Association was nominated for the awards in several categories and won the prize for the Best International Film Event for the 9th edition of the T-Mobile New Horizons IFF.
