The exhibition begins where films usually leave off - with the words 'The End'… roll credits. Everything that happens afterwards is a projection of memories and imaginations inspired by film images. The exhibition's title unambiguously signifies an ending, a loss of consciousness that might last for only a moment or perhaps far longer. These themes are at the core of the artistic works presented at the exhibition, including a new photography series from Zbigniew Libera. Borrowing from apocalyptic film esthetics, the photographs are a vision of the future in which the artist offers a critique of contemporary life and reflects on the nature of art and the unceasing longing to create new realities. Torn Film is composed of distinct sequences, dedicated to various aspects of the cinematic experience, including film posters, cinemas, projections, slow motion, actors, extras, speech and… the apocalypse. Artists: Azorro, Agata Bogacka, Michał Budny, Oskar Dawicki, Zbigniew Libera, Przemek Matecki, Zbigniew Rogalski, Szymon Rogiński and others.
